HISTORYUDEMY COURSE PASSIONWHY UDEMY?SECRET TO THE AMAZING NUMBER OF COURSESSHARE UDEMY COURSE EXPERIENCES THROUGH PORTFOLIO PAGES
In the late 90’s, I began editing websites using visual editors and HTML.  Later I learned a little about content management systems (CMS) and created a small experimental site with Joomla.  It wasn’t until June 2015 that I discovered Udemy online. Web development courses struck a chord. Currently, my primary interest is WordPress development. Thus many link examples are to WordPress sites. I aspire to become a true web developer. Udemy may be the way to attain my dream job – working as a freelancer in web development and design.
Since discovering online education, I became passionate about the educational opportunities offered by Udemy. In excitement, over the last year, I enrolled in over 8,000 courses.

Expensive? It would seem so. Check Udemy course prices. Lengthy development courses go for $299 and up. Standard courses are often priced from $99 to $199*. To be fair, Udemy also has thousands of courses under $100 plus many are free!

*UPDATE:  Udemy course prices changed this in April!

  • Updated Discounts: Course discounts, for both Udemy coupons and instructor coupons, will be capped at 50% off; we will also continue to support free coupons.

Update:  New Udemy Price Changes ANNOUNCED Starting Aug 22, 2016!

Keep up with the latest price changes article, “Updates to Udemy’s Pricing and Promotions”,  https://teach.udemy.com/updating-pricing-and-promotions/”,

How do prices compare to university accredited course prices? Probably much lower if you are comparing them to courses at your local university.  But, are the Udemy courses university level courses?  Courses vary. Prices vary.

At Udemy, students receive a certificate with each course completion. However, certificates may not be recognized by accredited schools.

Even without accreditation, educational opportunities are full-fledged at Udemy. Freelancers, retired, and those starting in a new field need look no further as Udemy most likely has their course. Courses range from robot automation to art and self-development.  Student’s knowledge gains and hands-on experiences are the gifts of an online education from Udemy. Courses build confidence to land that big job interview or to start a new design, craft, engineering, consulting, or web business. One can begin a career in nearly every field.

Take a look! Go to: UDEMY’s course site .  You will be amazed.

As far as the 8,000 enrolled courses  (a number that seems highly improbable), one might think  I am not telling the truth about the number of registered courses or I am very rich, or there is a secret to lowering prices. Obviously, there is a secret to lowering the prices to be able to acquire over 8,000 Udemy courses.

The secret.  Before jumping into enrolling – look for extra fair prices via coupons and special offers.  Many courses are free when they first come out. As to how one has the time to register, let alone take so many courses – well,  more on this topic another time.

Suffice it to say, I hope to use Udemy course knowledge to create sites, produce products, write reviews and share Udemy course RESULTS.  Hopefully, those with similar interests will contribute their Udemy course experiences on the A1 Resource WP Network websites.
