In the late 90’s, I began editing websites using visual editors and HTML. Later I learned a little about content management systems (CMS) and created a small experimental site with Joomla. It wasn’t until June 2015 that I discovered Udemy online. Web development courses struck a chord. Currently, my primary interest is WordPress development. Thus many link examples are to WordPress sites. I aspire to become a true web developer. Udemy may be the way to attain my dream job – working as a freelancer in web development and design.

Expensive? It would seem so. Check Udemy course prices. Lengthy development courses go for $299 and up. Standard courses are often priced from $99 to $199*. To be fair, Udemy also has thousands of courses under $100 plus many are free!
