Tech Zaada provides an excellent YouTube video on how to find and enroll in normally paid Udemy courses, for free. He demonstrates searching for free courses by going to my favorite Udemy discount coupon site, Discounts Global – Udemy section:

His video is clear, quick, and easy to understand. No need to recreate navigating Discounts Global’s website as he does an excellent job of exploring the coupon site in his YouTube video.

Search Discounts Global’s Course List By Category
Tech Zaada states that, in this video, he is not demonstrating how find courses by category. For those interested in finding courses by category, there are several methods.
Use Google to Find Discounts Global’s Site
If you do not have the link handy, locate Discounts Global’s website by going to Google and entering, “discounts global” in the search bar. Currently, the first result says “100% Off Udemy Coupons Daily!”
Search by CATEGORY Using the Top Search Bar
Once at the site, as Tech Zaada demonstrated, use the search bar at the top right to find a course by title or by topic (category).

Another way to see the category list is to scroll down Discounts Global main page. The categories are listed in the right Coupon Categories search menu.
Under the Sales Category you may see:
Success Percentages
Notice the success percentage is quite low on most of the courses. Look for a future post for more extensive coverage of success percentages.
Caveat: Although it is an available search method at Discounts Global, the low success rate in doing the category search is discouraging. My recommendation is to skip the search by category method. Instead, if you are really an avid Udemy student, check daily for recently posted free courses. More on this topic in a future post.
Verify Coupon Deals
If you see a course of interest, click “View Deal” to find if it is still available.
Downloading Courses – Check Udemy’s Support Site
The YouTube video embedded in this post stops at the end of the Discounts Global portion of the demonstration. There is an option to play it to the end. In the second part his YouTube video, Tech Zaada describes a method of downloading registered courses using Internet Download Manager, a Chrome extension. There were a few comments on YouTube discouraging folks to use this method to download videos. With no experience in downloading Udemy courses using IDM, I cannot speak about that method nor recommend it.

Udemy states instructors may enable downloading. Thus it would be up to the instructor to decide if the course is available for download. Support recommends contacting the instructor. Again, I have never tried downloading to a computer but have tried the Udemy Android app and successfully downloaded courses for offline viewing. Per Support, “Please note that you can always save courses for offline viewing on the Udemy mobile app.”
